Dr. Sree Sree Sree Sivakurmara Swamigalu - A sage par Excellence
Ardent follower of Basava Principles, Sree Sree
Swamiji was popularly called as Walking God from
all sects and religions. His Holiness was known for
the triple sacraments; food, shelter and education.
His Holiness belongs to the distinct tradition
established by Sree Gosala Channabasava, Sree
Tontada Siddalingeshwara, Sree Sree Atavee
Mahaswamigalu and his predecessor and Guruji
Sree Sree Uddana Shivayogigalu. For the un-
matching period of 88 years His Holiness headed
this holy place. Even at the age of 100+, he was very
active, agile, with unfailing sight and stable
movements. In all probability in the religious
history of any country, he may be the only one,
who has been a head of a holy place which is
secular in act, for such a long and continuous
period.
He attained the heavenly abode on 21st Jan 2019.
Sree Siddaganga Math is an ancient ashram fostering a continuous line of illustrious "Shiva Yogi Siddapurushas". The Math was established by Sree Gosala Siddeshwara Swamiji in 15th century A.D.
In this tradition of illustrious shivyogis, it has progressed with unique contributions from Sree Sree Ataveeshwara Swamigalu, Sree Sree Uddana Shivayoigalu and His Holiness Dr. Sree Sree Sivakumara Swamigalu.
The Math is situated amidst a divenly serene and colorful landscape at a distance of 63 Km from Bangalore, India. The Math has been developed in to a much visited piligrimage.
Sree Siddaganga Math is a unique Gurukula providing education to more than 10,000 poor children with free food and shelter, without any discrimination of caste or creed. The Math also runs blind schools at various places & over 100 blind children are given free education & food with independent hostel facilities.
The Math established Sree Siddaganga Education Society in 1963 & runs more than 128 educational institutions. The Math also organises annual Agricultural & Industrial exhibition for the benefit of Farmers.
